Contemporary dance blends elements of multiple dance styles such as modern, jazz, and ballet, and allows dancers to express emotionally through free movement. * These classes include learning snippets of dance combinations.
Mindful movement explorations focuses on awareness of flow, levels, weight shifting, body articulation and the utilization of breath to achieve optimal release.
GrooveZ Cardio and Movement Release
A mix of cardio exercises, elements of contemporary & jazz dance, barre exercises, movement release cool down (breath work, shifting weight, body isolations, flow release)
Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in ancient India. First codified by the sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras around 400 C.E.
Modern yoga is most commonly associated with the physical practice of asana, a series of postures often weaved together in styles such as Vinyasa Flow or Ashtanga. Asana practice is generally intended to build strength and stamina, to improve flexibility, coordination and balance, and to relax the body.
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.
